Geologic sinergies for the environment
Sinergeo will join the EGU 2020
European Geosciences Union General Assembly 2020 (Vienna, 3-8 May 2020)

Sinergeo will be present at EGU2020 with two different works aimed at taking advantage of all available field measurements in modeling and data processing.
Both papers are real case studies on the basin of the Bacchiglione river, where Sinergeo boast an abundance of hydrogeological data.
1. “Understanding the importance of hydraulic head timeseries for calibrating a flow model:  application to the real case of the Bacchiglione Basin”  will be presented within the subtheme ‘Handling Uncertainties in Model Concepts, Parameters, Forcings and Forecasts: Diagnostics, Sensitivity, Inversion and Uncertainty Analysis’;
2. “Comparison of two methods for optimizing existing groundwater monitoring networks:  application to the Bacchiglione Basin, Italy” within the session ‘Groundwater flow and geofluids system understanding with regard to environmental problems and resource management’.
The EGU General Assembly brings together geoscientists from all over the world to one meeting covering all disciplines of the Earth, planetary and space sciences. The EGU aims to provide a forum where scientists, especially early career researchers, can present their work and discuss their ideas with experts in all fields of geoscience. The EGU has convened a yearly General Assembly since 2004 and at the last edition there were over 16 000 scientists from 113 countries.
